Haier air conditioners use "evaporative cooling." Condensation from the cooling process and rain water is splashed onto the hot condenser with a slinger ring. This helps cool the condenser and evaporate accumulated water. This eliminates the needs for a drain, so most Haier models do not have a drain plug.
