Frozen Watermelon Margaritas

With a few simple ingredients (and a little planning) you can have the perfect summertime cocktail. It’s sure to be a hit at your next cookout or party.

Time: 6 hours | Yield: 2 drinks


  • 2 cups watermelon chunks
  • 4 ounces silver tequila
  • 2 ounces triple sec
  • 3 ounces fresh lime juice
  • Coarse salt for rim of glass


Cut your watermelon into about 1” chunks. Freeze on a plastic lined sheet tray for at least 6 hours. Frozen watermelon can be stored in a zip top bag for up to 3 months.

In a blender combine frozen watermelon chunks, tequila, triple sec and lime juice. Blend until smooth. Pour into a glass rimmed with salt. Serve immediately.
