This cocktail is like summer in a glass. The bourbon and bright, tangy citrus combine to make the perfect refreshing cocktail on a warm day.

Yield: 1 cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ ounce bourbon

  • ½ ounce fresh lemon juice

  • ½ ounce fresh grapefruit juice

  • ½ ounce honey syrup (see recipe below)

  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

  • Mint and Lemon (for garnish)

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients, except the garnish, in shaker tin with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a lemon wheel.

To make honey syrup: Combine ¼ cup honey and ¼ cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until honey is dissolved. Allow to cool and transfer to an airtight container. Syrup will keep, refrigerated, for up to 1 month.
