Some models offer both a temperature control as well as a timer mode.
- In temperature mode the unit cools until the temperature lowers to the set value then shuts down. The unit does not turn on again unless the room temperature rises approximately 5 degrees above the set level.
- In timer mode, the unit runs for a preset period then shuts down.
