The compressor in most Haier refrigerators uses R134A refrigerant. R134A is an HFC refrigerant (CFC free) and thus does not deplete ozone. Without the existence of chlorine, it doesn't react with ozone; however, it is a greenhouse gas.
Note: Most compact refrigerators use R600a.
Check the product specification, owner's manual, or rating plate to the type and amount of refrigerant used.
