When moving the freezer, do not tilt it more than a 45-degree angle. If tilted, it should be stood upright for an equal amount of time as it was tilted before plugging it in. If on its side for more than a day, leave standing for 24 hours before running.

Moving the freezer:

  • When moving the freezer, do not tilt it more than a 45-degree angle, whenever possible. Possible damage to the sealed system could occur.

  • Transport the freezer in an upright position. If it has been necessary to transport the freezer on its side, it should be stood upright for an equal amount of time as it was on its side before plugging it in.

  • If on its side for more than a day, leave standing for 24 hours before running.

  • If it was laying on its side just briefly to service, clean or adjust, it is enough to allow only a few minutes of standing time.

  • Do not lay the unit on its front or rear.

For long vacations or absences:

  • Empty food from freezer.
  • Move the temperature dial to the "0" position.
  • Clean the freezer and door gaskets according to "General Cleaning" section of the manual.
  • Prop doors open, so air can circulate inside.
