Just like your phone gets software updates, our smart appliances receive software upgrades that add some of the latest new features. It’s how we make sure your appliances get even better over time. Now, eligible Haier ranges can download our free, air fry cooking mode directly to your oven—so you can create your favorite crispy, crunchy foods using less oil and without preheating.

How to Upgrade

  1. Make sure your range is connected to WiFi and our SmartHQ™ app.
  2. On your range, turn the oven mode selector knob to APP (it will glow blue).
  3. Open the SmartHQ app on your smartphone. You’ll see a notice that an update is available. You may apply the upgrade or wait until later.
  4. Once you apply the update, it can take up to 30 minutes to fully download.
  5. Once the upgrade has completed, you’ll receive a message on the SmartHQ app that the update is complete.
  6. You can then select Air Fry mode from the Oven modes listed within the SmartHQ app.
